Outreach

Food Collection – Food Collection bins are located at all the entrances to both churches. Donations are picked up weekly and benefit the Johnny Cake Center in Wakefield, Rhode Island.

Mission Trips – Past locations include: Hogar Emmanuel Orphanage, Dominican Republic, Community of Jesus Crucified, St. Martinville, LA and Mustard Seed Jamaica. If you are interested in participating in a Mission Trip, please contact Lynn Bamford at stmbamford@gmail.com.

Mother Teresa Fund – This a very important, quiet ministry that has been in existence at St. Thomas More for many years. Donations are given in the offertory baskets, in the office and to the pastor directly.  The money directly assists our parishioners in need, and are used at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and all year long in the form of gift card assistance. If you would like to donate, please specify the Mother Teresa Fund on your check or at the time of giving.

Latino Outreach –  St. Charles Borromeo Church in Providence

Remember the Poor – Near the  entrances of both churches, are small boxes where you can place change, bills or checks.  Donations go to the Diocesan Dire Emergency Fund in South County and to the Mother Teresa Fund, which helps with rental assistance, utilities, prescriptions, etc.  Thank you for your support.

St. Vincent de Paul Clothing Bin – This collection bin for clothing and shoes is located at the top of the parking lot of St. Thomas More, inside the fence. Pickups are made weekly.
