Sacristan

Sacristans work to open and close the churches before and after all Masses. They arrive early, turn on the lights, set up the altar for Mass, straighten up the pews if needed, set out the bulletins, etc. Also, they are available throughout the liturgies to interact with and assist others. When Mass is over, they put everything away and close up the church. This is approximately a 2 hour commitment and is a vital and helpful ministry.
